STARFLEET TRAINING CENTER
The Starfleet Training Center is the location of the primary Starfleet training facility for all Starfleet personnel as well as the headquarters for the Starfleet Training Command. The Starfleet Training Center is often referred to as "the STC" to distinguish it from the similarly named Starfleet Training Command. The STC is located on the San Francisco Presideo, adjacent to Starfleet Headquarters.
STARFLEET TRAINING HISTORY
The main complex of the Starfleet Training Center (indicated map below in grey-gold) which also serves as the headquarters of the Starfleet Training Command.
The Office of Starfleet Training was formally established in September 2137, shortly after Starfleet had relocated all of its major offices to Starfleet Headquarters from their original location at UESPA headquarters. Two months later, Starfleet membership was opened to the general public (previously having restricted to UESPA and some other prior service personnel from MACO and the ECS). By the following spring of 2138, the Office of Starfleet Training had been expanded with the Director of Starfleet Training promoted to the rank of Captain.

In August 2138, construction began on a facility adjacent to Starfleet Headquarters to be known as the Starfleet Training Center. The new facility was intended to provide training to Starfleet candidates from outside the traditional direct appointments from UESPA and other prior service personnel. Formal opening ceremonies for the Starfleet Training Center occurred on September 18th 2139 with the first Starfleet Basic Training Class scheduled for the following month.

In September 2139, the Office of Starfleet Training was completely reorganized to coincide with the opening of the Starfleet Training Center. At that time, the Office of Starfleet Training was renamed the Starfleet Training Command under the Chief of Starfleet Training holding the rank of Commodore. In February 2141, the Starfleet Training Center underwent an expansion to incorporate the new Starfleet Induction Center which had been constructed over the previous fall and winter of 2140.
